The Leech Clinic is led by hirudotherapist (leech therapist) Bridget J Croft, a qualified nurse and experienced practitioner. Nurse Croft operates from her clinic conveniently located in the West Midlands.
Leeches are widely used in the National Health Service (NHS) to assist with complex surgical procedures. The Leech Clinic offers leech therapy for a wide range of disease states, and to help improve general wellbeing.

Our patron is Saint Martin de Porres. He lived in Lima, Peru, in the 16th and 17th centuries.
Saint Martin was the illegitimate son of a Spanish nobleman, and a freed slave. Aged 24, he entered the Dominican Order, as a lay brother. He lived a life of great holiness, and cared for the sick and poor of Lima for nearly 40 years. At his monastery, he was placed in charge of the infirmary. He had a great affinity with animals, and looked after the leeches which were used to treat the sick.
Saint Martin performed many miracles during and after his death. His feast day is on 3rd November.
